The Review Process
Writing instructors will design prompts for student assignments to create brief literary works such as poems, short fiction, and short dialogues.
Assignments will be reviewed by classmates during peer-review sessions in class. Instructors will also provide written critique.
Students will learn about copyright law, giving consent to share their work, and The Review submission process (visit the Mitchell Literary Review LibGuide for more information).
Acceptance of work into The Review is not grade dependent.
Student work may be submitted to the Review Board using our online form (link below). Submissions must be accompanied by consent to The Review process and a brief autobiography (100-200 words).
Students will be notified of the status of their acceptance via email.
The Review Board reserves the right to edit accepted works for spelling and grammar/syntax.
The Review will publish works twice per year (January and June).
